Overview of Location
The award-winning Borneo Rainforest Lodge is nestled in a magnificent setting alongside the Danum River flowing through Sabah's largest protected Lowland Rainforest - Danum Valley Conservation Area - 43,800 Hectares of pristine and undisturbed tropical flora and fauna in the eastern part of Sabah! This pristine Rainforest is also home to more than 340 species Birds, 124 species of Mammals, 72 species of Reptiles, 56 species of Amphibians and a staggering 200 species of plants per hectare. Their Chalets has only 31 individual chalets with fans and en-suite bathrooms, accommodating up to only 60 guests on any one day and on a Full-Board basis. With its prime location, guests have easy access to all of the best activities including jungle trekking, night safari/walks, river tubing, wildlife watching, river cruises, and visiting the popular Danum Valley Canopy Walkway.
LOCATION / HOW TO GET HERE
The closest town to Danum Valley Conservation Area is Lahad Datu in the South-Eastern coast of Sabah, which is accessible by land from cities such as Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, or Tawau.
Buses can be taken from Kota Kinabalu, Semporna, Sandakan and Tawau.
Daily flights from Kota Kinabalu to Lahad Datu are available via the regional airline MASWings. The 97 km journey from Lahad Datu town to Danum Valley takes about 2 hours, with the first 15 km on a sealed road along the Lahad Datu-Tawau highway and at Silam turn off and travel on a gravel road of approximately 82km over two hours to Borneo Rainforest Lodge.

Jungle Chalet
The Jungle Chalet is a beautiful space to rest and relax with panoramic views of the rainforest and an outdoor deck to spot wildlife right on your doorstep.
Deluxe Chalet
A spacious chalet with either River or Jungle Views. The outdoor tub and deck chairs offer a relaxing atmosphere and an appreciation of the endless beauty of Danum Valley. The Deluxe Chalets are a good option for those travelling with children due to their moderately large interior and exterior spaces.
Premium Deluxe Chalet

Premium Villa
The spectacular Premium Villas of BRL bring luxury to a new level featuring magnificent views of the Danum River and primary rainforest. 9.00 AMProceed for the Morning Jungle Trek to see the Kadazandusun burial site, Coffin Cliff. Then, you will go to the View Point for a bird's eye view of the area before going to the Jacuzzi Pool for a refreshing dip.

3.00 PMAfter lunch, go for the Afternoon Jungle Trek or tubing session down Danum River.
